About
Dr. Ali Hamraz is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He is an adult endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of patients with Type 1 & 2 Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism disorders, Thyroid disorders (Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid nodules, Thyroid biopsies through Ultrasound-Guided Fine-Needle Aspiration or FNA and Thyroid cancers), Parathyroid, Adrenal, and Pituitary gland disorders, Osteoporosis and Male hypogonadism.
After completing his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Sunrise Health GME Consortium/Mountain View Hospital, he decided to sub-specialize in Endocrinology. He believes the concept of “one size fits all” is rarely applicable in this field of medicine. Often, patients require an individualized care plan to accommodate their complex needs. As an endocrinologist with an extroverted personality and a strong sense of compassion, he feels privileged to have long-term relationships supporting his patients holistically through the various stages of their life journey. Dr. Hamraz graduated from Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program at Sunrise Health GME Consortium/Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is part of the HCA Healthcare, one of the nation's leading providers of quality, patient-centered care and the leader in Graduate Medical Education. He is also a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, and the American Medical Association.
His wife is a UCSF graduate and specializes in pediatric dentistry.
With their strong ties in Bay Area, they are pleased to be back where they feel very much at home. He and his wife are both avid skiers and tennis players and love to spend time with their friends, family, and their little dog, Benji.
Dr. Hamraz accepts new patients and looks forward to helping you manage your endocrine disorder by providing excellent comprehensive care through evidence-based medicine.
