Check-In & Preparation

Upon arrival, you will check in at the front desk and be guided to a private changing area where you will be provided with a gown.

  • Avoid taking calcium supplements, including multivitamins, for 24 hours before your appointment. Chewable vitamins and Tums are acceptable.
  • Wear clothing without metal components, such as underwire bras, hooks, zippers, or metal buttons.
  • If you've had an imaging exam with contrast recently, wait at least two weeks before your bone density test.
