Benilda Malinao-Oliquino RN, MSN, FNP-BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with several decades of nursing experience mostly in acute and critical Care. She wears several hats working in urgent care, family practice, occupational health and in academics. She also has experience in Integrative Medicine and Pain Management. She considers herself a lifelong learner attending a number of educational conferences throughout the year. She is also currently pursuing her doctorate degree (DNP)at Aspen University. She is the past president of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) serving Alameda and Contra Costa County. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP),Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), American Telemetry Association (ATA),and an officer of the Filipino American Association at Immaculate Heart of Mary church. She is active in her church community serving as a choir member, a catechist and a lay minister. She helps with several community volunteer and outreach programs. Her past memberships include the American Association of legal nurse consultants and the Sigma Theta Tau at Sonoma State University. In her free time, she loves to travel with her family, binge on her favorite TV shows, occasionally hang out with friends, and enjoy a quiet “me time.”
