About
Cristina Yttrup is an AANP Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of healthcare experience. She joined BASS Medical Group in November 2021 and is excited to be working alongside Dr. Jason Moy in helping to manage his general and bariatric surgery patients. Cristina has strived to provide skilled, compassionate, and high-quality care to her patients, their families, and the communities she has served throughout her career. She views herself as a lifelong learner, having earned her first Bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the University of California, San Diego, before attaining her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2009 from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Cristina began her nursing career in 2010 working on a Cardiac Step-Down unit at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa Valley before making the transition to John Muir Medical Center Walnut Creek in 2015, where she currently works as an RN in their Neurosciences/Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Cristina achieved her graduate degree from Holy Names University (located in the Oakland Hills), earning her Master’s of Sciences in Nursing in May 2021.
When she is not working, Cristina enjoys spending time with her husband, Golden Retriever, and two rescue kitties. Other hobbies include engaging in activities that promote health & wellness, including weightlifting, hiking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, meditation, and the occasional yoga session. She is also (slowly) learning how to play the ukulele.
