Dr. Cunningham completed her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. After finishing her general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she served in the Air Force. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Cunningham specializes in cancer surgery with a focus on breast disease and melanoma. Dr. Cunningham is board certified in general surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Disease.
