About
Dr. Shelby has lived in and been in private practice in the East Bay Area for the last 20 years. He offers a variety of services including Reflux disease and Barrett’s esophagus management, bowel disorders and colon cancer screening, pancreatic disorders and bile duct diseases, and non-surgical balloon weight-loss interventions.
Dr. Shelby received his medical degree from Jordan University and his internal medicine training from Brown University. He completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas in Galveston. He was recruited to complete an Advanced Interventional fellowship at the combined Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Harvard Gastrointestinal advanced fellowship because of his interest in advanced patient care and new innovations in gastrointestinal cancer prevention, pancreatic disorders, and bile duct disorders. He also served as an adjunct faculty at Stanford GI division. Dr. Shelby strives to offer comprehensive compassionate patient care along with his same staff for the last 15 years. He performs his procedures at the Executive Surgery Center, a friendly and family-oriented surgery center in the Danville area. He’s also on the medical staff at local hospitals such as San Ramon Regional Medical Center and John Muir Hospital
