Biography

Inez Wondeh is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BASS Medical Group (BASS), one of the largest independent medical groups in Northern California, with over 500 providers and 42 specialties. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership, Inez has been the architect of BASS's rapid growth strategy. Her accomplishments include the creation of a cancer center, imaging center, laboratory, urgent care, and three surgery centers.

Inez was appointed CEO in 2018, following four years as the Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Gregory Rhodes, Founder and Board President of BASS, remarked, “Inez has been a key architect of the company’s rapid growth strategy at BASS. Her vision, strategy, and track record of delivering results are exactly what BASS needs.” Dr. Merkow, Neurosurgery Division, added, “Her bold vision and passion for healthcare are major driving forces behind the successful expansion of BASS. We physicians, many of whom she recruited, are excited for her leadership as CEO.”

Inez earned both her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the University of San Francisco. Her drive and vision have also led her to co-found MiPHR, a mobile application company focused on the prevention of pre-diabetes through partnerships with providers to combat the complications of diabetes. Additionally, she is the founder and chairman of the Ngozi Educational and Healthcare Foundation.

Beyond her roles at BASS, Inez serves on the Westamerica Bancorporation Board of Directors, where she is a member of the Audit Committee as well as the Employee Benefits and Compensation Committee.
